In celebration of International Youth Day, the Centre and OHCHR Regional Office for the Middle East and North Africa (ROMENA) held a webinar for the benefit of Arab youth. The webinar featured experts discussing digital protection in the context of human rights, the role of youth in raising awareness and the challenges and opportunities presented by artificial intelligence and its influence on human rights. The webinar recognized digital technology as a powerful tool for human rights advocacy, while also highlighting its potential for misuse, particularly against human rights defenders. 98 participants from the Arab region attended the webinar.
