The Centre supported the Bahrain National Human Rights Institution in facilitating a panel discussion to encourage journalists and media professionals to integrate human rights principles and concerns into their work. Participants were introduced to human rights principles, bodies and mechanisms related to journalism, human rights of media professionals as well as their roles and responsibilities in promoting and protecting human rights. The panel discussion was also an opportunity to exchange experiences between journalists from Gulf countries. 65 participants from Bahrain, Oman and Kuwait attended the training.
