Regional training: Promoting and Protecting Economic, Social, and Cultural Rights-Cairo, 4 to 7 November

The Centre organized a new flagship training course for the benefit of Arab National Human Rights Institutions on “Promoting and Protecting Economic, Social, and Cultural Rights (ESCR)”, in collaboration with the ESCR Section at OHCHR in Geneva and the Arab Network for National Human Rights Institutions (ANNHRI), hosted by the Egyptian National Council for Human Rights. The Objective of the training was to introduce participants to the concepts, principles, and standards of ESCR, and strengthen their capacity to promote ESCR in their countries according to the Paris Principles. 24 participants from Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Libya, Morocco, Oman, Palestine and Qatar attended the training.
