Human Rights Arabic Moot Court Competition –October 7 – 9, Qatar
The Centre organized the first Regional Arab Human Rights Moot Court Competition, hosted by the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies. University teams participated in the competition by simulating judicial proceedings based on a human rights case prepared by the Centre. The initiative aimed to enhance students’ understanding of international human rights law and develop their advocacy and legal analysis skills. The competition was preceded by a series of online training sessions, in which approximately 50 universities from across the Arab region participated, from which 12 universities qualified for the in-person rounds in Doha. A total of 38 students from 11 universities participated in the in-person competition, representing 9 Arab countries: Algeria, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Libya, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, and Syria.
