The Head of the Centre represented OHCHR in the “11th Meeting for Human Rights Responsibles at the Arab Ministries of Interior” organized by the Secretariat of the Arab Council for Ministers of Interior. The meeting was attended by 13 heads of human rights departments of Arab Ministries of Interior from Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Kuwait, Morocco, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria and Yemen. The agenda addressed adopting the first phase of the implementation of the Arab Strategy for promoting human rights in security spheres as well as the cooperation mechanisms between police structures and regional and international organizations, which allowed OHCHR to brief on its work globally and in the region in the area of engagement with law enforcements entities.
