Art Lab – Egypt, May 16th and 17th
Description
The Centre participated in a workshop titled: “Art-Lab Pilot in Egypt: Strengthening collective action towards social transformation through artistic practice”. The Art Lab was organized by UNESCO in cooperation with UNFPA, UNHCR, and OHCHR as well as the Ministry of Culture and Ministry of Youth and Sports, and civil society representatives. The Lab aims to strengthen human rights, capacities and social reintegration, inclusion, and advocacy programs for refugees from Eritrea, South Sudan, Syria and Yemen through artistic practices. 75 participants (47% female) form Egypt, South Sudan, Sudan, Syria, and Yemen attended the Art Lab.
