Regional Summer Course on “Introduction to the International Human Rights System” – Fourth Edition, Istanbul, 27–31 July

From 26 to 31 July, the United Nations Human Rights Training and Documentation Centre for South-West Asia and the Arab Region held its annual flagship regional summer course for youth, titled “Introduction to the International Human Rights System” (4th edition) in Istanbul-Türkiye in cooperation with the Arab Human Rights Master’s Programme at Saint-Joseph University and the Norwegian Centre for Human Rights. The 5-day course aimed to enhance young professionals’ knowledge of human rights principles, UN mechanisms, and advocacy skills. A total of 16 participants including 12 women attended from 12 Arab countries namely: Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, United Arab Emirates.
