On 29 April 2026 the UN Human Rights Training and Documentation Centre for South-West Asia and the Arab Region under the Human Rights Education Unit, delivered an online webinar for children in coordination with Aspire Community Transformation and Sports for life. The webinar aims to raise awareness of children’s rights in the lead-up to the upcoming Street Child World Cup in Mexico. It highlighted the rights and amplified the voices of children living in street situations. The session engaged participants from the Egypt boys’ teams and the Palestine girls’ team, equipping them to confidently express their views and share their experiences during the congress. It also seeks to strengthen participating children’s understanding of children’s rights. This year, Egypt and Palestine are the only Arab countries taking part. 22 boys and girls attended the webinar with their coaches.
