Ending Violence Against Women and Girls – December 9, Qatar
Description
The Centre, in partnership with the Human Rights Department at the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Doha, organized a roundtable as part of the national 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence campaign. Participants reviewed international and national policies, successful prevention and protection practices, and the importance of economic empowerment, education, and stronger legal frameworks, particularly regarding online violence. The event brought together 40 representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, relevant national entities, ambassadors and diplomatic missions including ambassadors of Colombia, Costa Rica, Congo, Palestine, Philippines, Sudan and the United Kingdom.
