Human Rights Day Film Screening Event – December 8, Qatar
Description
To commemorate Human Rights Day under OHCHR’s 2025 theme “Human Rights: Our Everyday Essentials,” the Centre, in collaboration with the Doha Institute’s for Graduate Studies organized a short-film screening titled “Screening for Thoughts: Unveiling Human Rights through Film Discussion”. Six award-winning films from the Centre’s 2024–2025 regional competition were showcased, highlighting key civil, political, economic, social, and cultural rights issues. The screening was followed by an interactive discussion with students, young filmmakers, Doha Institute, UNICEF experts, and the Centre’s team, creating a dynamic space for dialogue and youth engagement. 27 students participated in this event.
