Human Rights Film Screening – Qatar
Human Rights Film Screening – Qatar
Description
The Centre, in partnership with the College of Law at Qatar University and the International Festival and Forum for Human Rights (FIFDH), organized a screening of the documentary film “Shadow Game”. The film focuses on youth fleeing their countries with the hopes of finding better lives in Europe. The primary objective of “Screening for Thoughts: Unveiling Human Rights through Film Discussion” is to create a platform for meaningful conversations about human rights violations, social justice, and to educate, inspire empathy, and prompt viewers to reflect on their roles in promoting a more just and equitable society. The screening, which was followed by an open discussion, was attended by 35 students (86% female) from Egypt, Syria and Qatar.
