Regional Moot Court Competition, Jordan - 9 to 11 July
The Centre, in collaboration with the “Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie” (AUF), organized a regional moot court competition held at the Jordan University as part of AUF’s legal clinic program. The competition followed a series of training and briefing sessions delivered earlier in the year.
The subject was a complaint submitted to the UN Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (PWD), discussing various dimensions of protecting and respecting their rights according to international standards. The moot court stage was preceded by drafting a legislative proposal on the rights of PWDs and international standards for their protection. 43 students from universities from Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, and Palestine participated in the competition.
