Regional Training Course on “Promoting and Protecting Economic, Social and Cultural Rights: Budget Monitoring and Analysis” – 30 November–1 December, Egypt
Description
The Centre, jointly with the OHCHR ESCR Section in Geneva and in cooperation with the Arab Network for National Human Rights Institutions (ANNHRI) and the National Council for Human Rights (NCHR) of Egypt, organized a regional training course to equip participants with essential concepts and principles related to ESCR- including relevant UN human rights mechanisms, State obligations, and practical tools for budget analysis and monitoring to support the promotion and protection of these rights. The training brought together 35 participants from 11 Arab National Human Rights Institutions and 7 Civil Society Organizations from Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Libya, Morocco, Oman, Palestine, Qatar and Sudan.
