Film Competetion
Film Competetion
We are excited to announce that we received 12 films for the second edition of the youth film competition “Human Rights Through the Lens of Youth” from Iraq, Lebanon, Palestine, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia and Yemen. The films tackled, from a youth perspective, rights such as the right to education, right to freedom of expression and opinion and right to decent work. After a judging panel from the Centre and our partners at AlJazeera Centre for Public Liberties and Human Liberties assessed the entries based on set criteria, 2 winners were selected: Fadel Moawdah from Yemen with his film “Joumieh” and Vanessa Kallas from Lebanon with her film “Hammer in hand and pen in heart”. Congratulations to the winners! Their films will be screened soon on AlJazeera and the Centre’s platforms.
