The Centre supported OHCHR’s Regional Office for the Middle East and North Africa (ROMENA), in conducting a workshop on “Integrating a Human Rights-Based Approach into Media Coverage” in partnership with the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The workshop aimed to strengthen participants’ understanding of international human rights principles and standards relevant to media work, and reinforce the role of media professionals in promoting human rights values. 42 participants representing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Interior, National Guard, Public Authority of Manpower, Public Prosecution, Kuwait News Agency, Ministry of Information, and Ministry of Defense attended the training.
