UNODC Cybercrime Prevention on Technology-facilitated Crimes affecting Women and Girls – Qatar, 18 – 21 August and 15 September
The UNODC Regional Centre for Combatting Cybercrime in Doha organized a training on “Cybercrime Prevention on Technology-facilitated Crimes affecting Women and Girls” for the benefit of 12 participants from the Palestinian Ministry of Interior. The Centre supported UNODC with a session on “Human Rights in the Digital Space and Data Protection in the Framework of Criminal Justice affecting women and girls” with the aim of strengthening participants’ skills, tools, and capacities to promote safe internet and technology use, thereby reducing the risks of cybercrime, particularly for children, women, and other at-risk groups. Another session was delivered to 12 participants from Jordan, Morocco, and Mexico, representing the National Cybersecurity Agency, the Financial Information Authority, the Judiciary, and the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
